Auditions: '7 Stories'

Production Dates: September 9 - 12, 2009
Synopsis: A show about a man searching for answers to life's questions from the ledge of building. A phenomenal Canadian play filled with interesting characters, great life lessons and a man trying to make sense of it all.
Notes: Rehearsals are planned for Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Please indicate if you are unavailable for any of the afore mentioned dates. The original casting of the show calls for a small cast portraying multiple roles. This may or may not still be a possibility. Please note that any listed ages are only to provide a sense of time for characters and will not necessarily determine the age of the actor appropriate for said roles.
Characters: The Man - Everyman. Has recently become confused with aspects of his own life and feels at the end of his rope.
  Charlotte - Married to Rodney. A fiery individual with sarcastic undertones.
  Joan - A suburbanite desperately trying to fit in with the trendy art crowd.
  Nurse Wilson - A hard woman who has been around the block. She works as an elderly home care nurse for the dying.
  Rodney - A lawyer far to concerned with outside appearances.
  Marshall - An actor leading a double life.
  Percy - The best friend you never knew you had.
  Jennifer - A social butterfly.
  Lillian - An elderly woman, steps from death, with a very interesting view on life.
  Rachel - A devout believer using her hand to do the work of God.
  Leonard - A psychiatrist who could probably use a little couch time himself.
  Al - A reluctant part animal. Loves the party, just hates being the host.
  Michael - An artistic genius, according to himself and Joan.
Preparation: Please come prepared with a contemporary monologue no longer than two minutes in length. You may be asked to read scenes from the script as well.
Audition Dates: Auditions will be held Wednesday May 13th and Thursday May 14th with a potential call back on Sunday May 17th 2009. First round auditions will begin @ 8:00 pm.
Location: MLT Backstage building, Markham District Heritage Museum grounds, 9350 HWY 48 (Main St Markham) just north of 16th Avenue, Markham
